SynqUp Calendar Review

We're excited to share some powerful new features designed to bring value and enhance your productivity.

Cal Review 2.0

SynqUp now provides a streamlined way to identify and address enhancements for your meetings, helping you act quickly and effectively. The main image of this post highlights this new feature. It enables you to quickly view all meetings needing your attention and easily grasp the issue, whether you choose to dismiss the notification, open the meeting in full edit mode, or make a quick edit directly from the main calendar window. All these options are now accessible with just one click.

Our extension typically displays the approximate meeting cost to organizers, but now participants can also be informed - providing greater transparency and empowering everyone involved to better understand the value of their time. This feature allows companies to include calculated costs in the meeting description.

Cost calculation in meeting description

Our extension usually displays the meeting cost to the organizer, but occasionally it's necessary for participants to be informed of these costs too. Companies that desire this feature can now include the calculated cost in the meeting description.

Admin first aid kit

Admins can now quickly disable SynqUp for an individual user in critical situations, enabling quick resolution of issues with minimal disruption.

New Google Calendar UI Support

In October, Google unveiled a new user interface for their Calendar, featuring both light and dark modes. SynqUp promptly adapted to support these modes.

New Detectors

We now support these new use cases on our platform. These are integrated into the core processing and analytics, enabling users to receive notifications if their meetings exhibit such behavior. Additionally, our platform can provide solutions for the situation and perform automated actions on behalf of the user. Here are the detectors we added:

Multiple hierarchy detectors

In some meetings, participants may belong to the same team or have reporting relationships, which can lead to redundancy and wasted efforts. To address this, companies can apply this detector to notify employees about such situations, possibly freeing some participants for more focused work.

Stale recurring meeting

Recurring meetings can initially be highly productive, but over time, may drift off track, with inertia being the sole reason for its continuation. To address this, the Stale Recurring Meeting Detector prompts organizers every three months to confirm whether the meeting is still productive or whether it can be improved.
